You win some, you lose some. That was the week 4 mantra. This week’s mindset? You lose none, you win them all. The boys are back with their weekly installment of betting locks where we help you get rich. Lock in, it’s time to get surgical. 

Zac - Liberty (-2.5) @ Appalachian State -150 odds

The Flames have legitimate playoff hopes and want to redeem themselves after the 2023 bowl game catastrophe against Oregon. Traveling to Boone can be tricky but App State has struggled to start the year, allowing over 35.7 points per game. Look for the balanced offensive attack of Liberty to continue this trend, headlined by star quarterback Kaidon Salter. The Cedar Hill standout should make enough plays to not only keep the undefeated season going, but also cover the spread. 

Anonymous Aggie - Randy Bond OVER 1.5 FG +105 odds

I wanted to go with a game pick this week but seeing this prop at + odds had to be included. Bond has been nails and he has hit this prop in every game up to this point. The Arkansas game always goes back and forth, I expect this year to be no different. Randal Bond might be the difference. Remember they don’t have to be the fancy pick, they have to be the right one!

Peyton - Illinois (+19.5) @ Penn State -140 odds

Where the hell this line came from makes me a little worried that Vegas knows something we don’t. Nonetheless, man in the suit! man in the suit! man in the suit! This Illinois team is stingy and Luke Altmyer is playing incredible. Their incredibly fat coach has helped guide this defense to only allowing 12.5 ppg while having a +7 turnover margin. Penn State has looked fine but struggled majorly at times; I just don’t think they have the firepower to put up that many points. Give me the fat guy to cover the spread  (points not food, but also probably food…have yall seen how fat this guy is???) 

Guest Picker: Sean Stout - Georgia @ Alabama UNDER 49 -105 odds and Mississippi State @ Texas (-38.5) -115 odds

Special thanks to our prehistoric guest picker from last week as he went 1 for 2. Welcome in Mr. Northgate himself with 2 absolute dials of selections. The game of the week is sure to be a barn burner with two elite programs going head-to-head. Both Georgia and Alabama make little mistakes, and we anticipate this game to be a chess match from start to finish. As insinuated in Zac Stats’ power ranking blog earlier this week, Texas and Mississippi State are two teams headed in opposite directions. The Bulldogs have given up 86 points the last couple weeks to Toledo and Florida… It won't matter who is under center for Texas. You can parlay these two legs together for +265 odds, which sounds like free mimosa towers on Sunday morning!
