What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
As we all know, last week was not a pretty moment in time for me. Going 2-6 in our pick ‘em, followed up by an 0-4 display on my best bets was not how I envisioned my Week 3 going. However, after some solid reflection and owning up to my mistakes, I’m ready to take back what’s mine.
Ole Miss @ Alabama (-6.5)
CBS / 2:30 PM KICKOFF

Joey Freshwater makes his return to Tuscaloosa in hopes of ‘upsetting’ his hero. The Rebels look to take down the Tide as a 6.5 underdog somehow in a game that could have massive implications in the SEC West.
OLE MISS: Remarkable offensively through three weeks, but incredibly suspect on the other side of the ball. While the scores from weeks past may indicate dominate performances, the last two weeks have been much closer than it seems. Friendly reminder that the Rebels’ Defensive Coordinator is none other than former Crimson Tide DC, Pete Golding. Two former Saban assistants, teaming up to beat their former boss.
Sounds like a match made in Heaven for Brad Nessler. Oh wait! They’re on the BIG10 Broadcast this week. Burn it all down.
ALABAMA: After dismantling a dominant South Florida squad last weekend by 14, the Tide return home as just under a touchdown favorite. But in all seriousness, what the hell? This team struggled in every way against a mid-tier (at best) G5 school just days ago. Sure, you can blame it on Jalen Milroe not playing but my goodness there is much more wrong with this team than just their backup quarterbacks.
This game just screams Ole Miss by whatever they want. But it also screams Rat Poison.
PREDICTION:
Going with the Rebels / Sharks / whatever you want to call them.
Ole Miss 31 – Alabama 24
Ohio State (-3) @ Notre Dame
NBC / 6:30 KICKOFF
The Marquee game of the evening, surely not to be overshadowed by AJ Fletcher’s return to the octagon against TUF 29 winner Bryan Battle. But in all seriousness, what an awesome game to have so early in the season. Notre Dame looks great. Ohio State seems to be getting it going. This is going to be a BLAST.
OHIO STATE: After two subpar weeks to start the season, the Buckeyes began to turn things around last week with a 60 burger on Western Kentucky. All offseason, every eye in America was tuned into the OSU Quarterback room to see who would take over for CJ Stroud – and the answer seems to be clear. Kyle McCord is going to be THAT guy. Excited to see how he performs in his first road game, as ND is no joke. Never forget Oogabooga’s first start at Clemson, where he looked like he should have been playing middle schoolers instead.
NOTRE DAME: This is the year. Sam Hartman has improved so much in this ne- Don’t let me go on or I’ll never stop. Sam Hartman looks pretty good this year, and now has the perfect chance to prove why he is not only the top QB in this class, but the reason why he left Wake Forrest. Win this weekend, and you’ve positioned yourself for a clear view of the final 4 team CFP.
PREDICTION:
I could make a joke. But I won’t. Let’s just say South Bend will be a very fun place tomorrow night.
Ohio State 30 – Notre Dame 38
Iowa @ Penn State (-14.5)
CBS / 6:40 KICKOFF
This is only here because I want to add point counter for Ferentz. He’s at 85, 240 to go.
PREDICTION:
This game is going to be disgusting.
Iowa 10 – Penn State 31
Arkansas @ LSU (-17.5)
ESPN / 6 PM KICKOFF
Just wanted to add this to remind everyone that Sam Pittman is extremely overweight.
Geaux Tigahs.
For the love of God, I am so hoping that I don’t get all of these wrong. Not sure how I would recover from it.
So, fellas, let’s have a weekend.
